Ormskirk Market

People come to Ormskirk to enjoy shopping in a relaxed yet vibrant town.
Ormskirk’s open-air market is held in the pedestrianised streets around the famous clock tower. Every Thursday and Saturday, over 100 stalls offer a wide range of goods, including locally grown fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, clothing, furniture and household goods.

Visitors and local people come to benefit from good choice, good service and a traditional Lancashire welcome; in a market that has drawn traders and customers continuously for over 700 years.

Ormskirk town centre also has over 200 retail businesses. Visitors will find many independent specialist shops as well as branches of major national retailers. Together they offer a wide selection and good value.

Over the years, Ormskirk has seen many changes. As in other times, some previously famous names have disappeared. However, we are pleased to see that other businesses have been keen to come here to satisfy changing demand. We are sure that you will find what you are looking for here.

Further information about Ormskirk Market and car parking is on the Council's web site.
